  • 2 Green Onions
  • 5 slices Fresh Ginger
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 1 tbsp Chinese Cooling Wine optional

  • Place ribs inside InstantPot and add green onion, ginger, star anise and 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine (optional)
  • Add water till reaching 5 or 6 cup mark in the pot. Cover the lid and place the pressure valve to “Seal” position. Press “Manual” button and set 35 minutes of cooking time.
  • When the program is done, wait another 10 minutes for the the valve to go down, slowly release the pressure then open the lid.

Cooking Tips:
  • Open the lid of the pressure pot when the inside pressure goes down. i.e. the valve goes down
  • If you find the soup is a bit greasy to your taste, cook the soup in advance, then let it cool down to the room temperature. Then skim off the fat from the soup. Alternatively, cover the inner pot with a lid and place in fridge once it cools to room temperature, then skim off the fat before using.
  • You can freeze the excess soup in a freezer-safe container and store it in the freezer. When you want to make a quick soup noodle dinner, it will become handy.
